Checking the play in the joints and checking the covers
1. Engage neutral gear.
2. Using a jack, raise the car and install supports.
3. Check if there is any play in the connection area between the central bearing support and propeller shaft No. 2.
4. Check covers for damage.
5. Check the installation and play of the universal joint.
6. If the above check did not reveal any malfunctions, proceed to check the cardan shaft runout.
Cardan shaft runout
1. Set the indicator to the center of the #1 or #2 propeller shaft.
2. Block one rear wheel, turn the other wheel slowly and check for driveshaft runout.

3. If the runout is greater than the limit, replace the cardan shaft.
