1. Fill in coolant up to the top of the radiator filler neck.
2. Install a radiator cap tester.
3. Pressurize the cooling system and check for coolant leaks.
- Pressure: 93-123 kPa (0.95-1.25 kg/cm2)
If the pressure drops within a short period of time, then either the tester is not installed correctly or there are coolant leaks.
Check to see if coolant is getting into the engine oil. If coolant gets into the engine oil, the cylinder head gasket is damaged.
Check to see if coolant is getting into the gearbox oil.
If coolant enters the gearbox oil, the automatic transmission cooler is damaged.
