Removal and installation
Attention. If the engine is hot, let it cool down before starting work.
For the components of the SRS system, follow the instructions in ch. Additional security system.
1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position (II), set the air conditioner control to the maximum heating position (32°C) and turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
2. Drain the coolant, see ch. Mechanical part of the engine.
3. Release clip and disconnect water valve cable from valve lever.
4. Release collars and remove heater hoses.
Prepare a container and cloth to collect the leaking coolant. Do not let it get on the body.
5. Turn off a fixing nut of the block of a heater.
Attention. Do not damage or bend the brake and fuel pipes.
6. Remove the dashboard, see ch. Body.
7. Remove the cooling block, see above.
8. Turn off bolts and remove the block of a heater.
Prepare a cloth to collect the leaking coolant. Do not let it get on the body.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Check for air leaks in the area of the cooling unit.
Do not confuse the heater hoses on the intake and exhaust sides.
Tighten the heater hose clamps tightly.
