2. Raise the vehicle with four wheels off the ground and place it securely on the safety stands at the original points.
3. Check the middle support bearing for excessive play or rattling. If there is excessive play or rattling in the mid-mount, replace the driveshaft assembly.
4. Check the universal joint boots for damage and wear. If the boots are damaged or worn, replace the propeller shaft assembly.
5. Check the universal joints for excessive play or rattling. If there is excessive play or rattling in the universal joints, replace the driveshaft assembly.
6. Install the indicator head in the center of the front or rear driveshaft.
7. Slowly rotate the other driveshaft and check for runout. Repeat the operation on the other cardan shaft.
Runout: No more: 1.5 mm.
8. If runout on any of the driveshafts exceeds the specified limit, replace the driveshaft assembly.
