Warning! Do not smoke while working on the fuel system. Do not create sparks or open flames in the workplace.
1. Relieve fuel pressure (see above).
2. Drain the fuel into a suitable container using a hand pump.
3. Jack up the vehicle and secure it on the safety stands.
4. Remove the fuel tank hanger.
5. Remove the access panel and disconnect the 5-pin connector from the fuel tank.
6. Disconnect the fuel outlet hose and quick couplings (see above).
7. Disconnect the filler neck connecting hose and fuel breather hose.
Note: When disconnecting the hoses, tighten the clamps, then wind up the hoses as you pull them out to avoid damaging them. Disconnect the EVAP vent pipe from the EVAP charcoal filter two-way valve.
8. Support the fuel tank with a jack or other object.
9. Turn off a fixing bolt.
10. Remove the fuel tank. If it is stuck to the coating applied to the support, carefully pry it off and separate it from the support.
11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Thoroughly clean the sockets of the high pressure hoses before connecting.
