2. Remove the engine bottom cover.
3. Remove the automatic drive belt tensioner.
4. Remove the cylinder head cover.
5. Set piston #1 to top dead center (TDC). Label «UP» And on the camshaft sprocket should be on top, and the marks of the top dead center (TDC) The B on the sprocket should line up with the top edge of the cylinder head.
6. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation hose (PCV).
7. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
8. Support the engine with a jack and a piece of wood under the oil pan.
9. Remove A/C pipe mounting bolt A, then remove upper torque rod B.
10. Remove the connection cable from «weight» A, then remove the engine side bracket B.
11. Remove the oil pump.
12. Measure the length of the tensioner rod between the tensioner housing and the bottom of the flat surface of the tensioner rod. If the length is out of range, replace the timing chain.
13. Reinstall, without tightening, the crankshaft pulley.
14. Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise to compress the auto tensioner.
15. Align the holes on lock A and auto-tensioner B, then insert a 1.0 mm diameter calibration pin C into the holes. Turn the crankshaft clockwise to tighten the calibration pin.
16. Remove the automatic tensioner.
17. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
18. Remove timing chain guide A and timing chain tensioner arm B.
19. Remove the timing chain.
