2. Disconnect the quick release A on the fuel rail B.
3. Connect assembly E of the fuel hose attachment and the quick release. Connect the fuel pressure gauge connection kit and fuel pressure gauge.
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
- If the engine starts, go to step 6.
- If the engine does not start, go to step 5.
5. Check that the fuel pump is working: listen to the sound that comes from the fuel filler neck when the cap is removed. The fuel pump must run for 2 seconds after the ignition is first turned on.
- If the fuel pump is running, go to 6.
- If the pump is not working, check the fuel pump system.
6. Read the fuel pressure gauge. The pressure should be 320-370 kPa.
- If the pressure is correct, the test is complete.
- If the pressure is not correct, replace the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter, then recheck the fuel pressure.
