1. Remove the timing chain.
2. Remove oil filter A, then oil pump B.
Oil pump check
1. Remove the pump cover.
2. Check the radial clearance between the inner and outer rotors (between inner rotor A and outer rotor B). If the axial clearance between the inner and outer rotors exceeds the limit, replace the oil pump assembly.
Radial clearance between inner and outer rotors:
- Standard (new): 0.02-0.14 mm.
- Working range: 0.20 mm.
Gap between rotor and housing:
- Standard (new): 0.02-0.07 mm.
- Working limit: 0.15mm.
Clearance between outer rotor and housing:
- Standard (new): 0.10-0.18 mm.
- Working limit: 0.20 mm.
5. Check both rotors and pump housing for scratches or other damage. Replace damaged parts if necessary.
6. Install the oil pump cover.
Oil pump installation
1. Install drive pins A and a new O-ring B on oil pump C, then align the inner rotor with the crankshaft and install the oil pump.
2. Install slinger plate D with new gasket E.
3. Install the timing chain.
