The vehicle is equipped with power windows that can only operate when the ignition is on (ignition key turned to position «ON» (II)). To open the window, press down on the switch button and keep it pressed while the window is lowered. You can stop the glass at the desired position by releasing the button. The glass is raised by pressing and holding the switch button in the upper position.
The power windows remain operational for 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off. During this period, the automatic power window function operates only on the driver's door glass. After opening any front door, this function is no longer active.
Warning! The power window regulator can severely pinch and injure a hand or fingers caught in the window opening.
Before turning on the power window to close the windows, make sure that the passengers keep their hands and heads out of the window openings.
If you leave a vehicle with passengers, be sure to remove the key from the ignition and take it with you.
On the armrest of the driver's door there is a central control panel for all the electric windows of the car. To open the window of any passenger door, press down on the button of the corresponding switch and keep it pressed while lowering the window to the desired position. To raise the glass, slide the appropriate button up and hold it in that position. When the glass is in the desired position, release the switch button.
Mode «AUTO»
The glass of the driver's door, as well as the front passenger's door, can be completely lowered with a single impact on the switch button. To lower the window in automatic mode, firmly press the power window switch button. This will open the window completely. You can stop the window at any time by pushing the button up while the window is lowering.
To raise the window in automatic mode, firmly press the power window switch button until it rises. This will close the window completely. You can stop the window at any time by pressing down on the button while the window is being raised.
To partially lower or raise the windows of the driver's door and the front passenger's door, lightly press down or up respectively on the power window switch button and keep it pressed while the window is moving. The glass will stop as soon as you release the switch button.
Power window master switch
The master switch allows the driver to turn off power to the power windows on the passenger doors and thus prevent the passenger's windows from being raised or lowered using the switches located on the windows. The main switch has no effect on the power window on the driver's door. To restore control of the power windows from the passenger door panels, press the recessed button on the main switch. Turn off the passenger door remotes using the main switch if there are children in the car. This will help prevent children from being accidentally injured by the sliding windows.
Visual indicators built into the power window remote control buttons come on when the ignition key is turned to «ON» (II).
Auto reverse (automatic glass return mode)
If the glass of the driver's door, as well as the front passenger's door, is raised automatically, and any obstacle is encountered in the way of its movement, then the glass will automatically stop lifting and it will begin to fall down to its original position. To close the window after stopping the power window, remove the obstruction from the window opening and press the window up button again.
Even with this function, you must always check the safe position of all passengers in the car before closing the windows. The window regulator does not function in this mode if the window is already almost completely raised.
Discharging the battery, disconnecting it, or removing the fuse will prevent the power window on the driver's door and the front passenger's door from working automatically. In this case, after the restoration of the battery (or fuse setting) you need to initialize the power windows as follows:
1. Start the engine. Press the driver's door power window switch button until the window is fully lowered.
2. Slide up the driver's door power window switch button until the window is fully up and for two more seconds after that.
3. Repeat p.p. 1 and 2 for the power window on the front passenger door.
If, after initialization, the correct operation of the power windows is not restored, contact your dealer or service station in order to find out and eliminate the causes of the system malfunction.
