Attention! Wait until the engine has completely cooled down before proceeding with the procedure.
1. On some Integra models, an oil cooler is installed between the full flow oil filter and the engine block (see accompanying illustration).
2. Remove the oil filter and drain the engine oil (see chapter Current service).
3. Disconnect two lines of the cooling path from the oil cooler. Prepare to collect spilled liquid. Seal open ends of lines and fittings immediately.
4. Give the big nut (usually part of a hollow mounting bolt) in the center of the oil cooler and separate the latter from the engine.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Don't forget to replace the o-ring installed between the block and the oil cooler (lubricate the new ring with clean engine oil before installation). Check that the cooling line hoses are securely fastened to their fittings.
6. Install a new oil filter and fill the engine with fresh engine oil (see chapter Current service).
7. Adjust coolant and engine oil levels as needed.
8. Start the engine and check for signs of oil or coolant leaks.
9. Check the oil and coolant levels again.
