Adjustment
Note:
- Check the clutch switch;
- The clutch is self-adjusting to compensate for wear.
Warning: If there is no clearance between the clutch master cylinder piston and the pushrod, the release bearing is set against the diaphragm spring and this may cause the clutch to slip or other problems.
1. Loosen locknut A and remove the clutch switch block (or adjusting bolt) so that it does not come into contact with the clutch pedal.
2. Loosen locknut B and move the pushrod inward or outward to achieve nominal travel A and height C in the clutch pedal.
3. Tighten locknut B.
4. Screw in the clutch switch (or adjusting bolt) inward until it comes into contact with the clutch pedal.
5. Turn the clutch switch (or adjusting bolt) another 3/4 turns or a full turn.
6. Tighten locknut A
A (pedal stroke length): 130 - 140 mm
B (total free play of the clutch pedal): 12-21 mm
C (clutch pedal height):
- LHD: 165 mm to floor
- RHD: 163 mm to floor
D (pedal height at "squeezed out "clutch)
- LHD: 83 mm minimum to floor
- RHD: 78 mm minimum to floor
