Connecting rods — selection

Each connecting rod falls within one of four acceptable limits (from 0 to +0.024 mm) with an increase of 0.006 mm, depending on the size of its hole for the crank pin. Then numbers are applied to it (1, 2, 3 or 4), indicating the range of sizes.

You can find any combination of 1, 2, 3 or 4 in any engine.

Normal hole size:

• Engines D14AZ, D14A4: 43.0 mm
• Engines D1524, D1525, D1526, D1527: 45.0 mm

Other engines: 48.00 mm

Please note: the number on the connecting rod does not indicate its position in the engine, but rather the size of the connecting rod (for earbuds of a certain size group).
