Attention.
- Rotate the crankshaft pulley so that the No. 1 cylinder piston is at TDC before removing the belt.
- When installing the timing belt, inspect the water pump.
1. Remove the crankcase protection
2. Remove the adjusting bolt and mounting bolts, then remove the power steering pump and drive belt.
3. Loosen the tension pulley bracket bolt and the adjusting bolt, then remove the air conditioning compressor belt.
4. Loosen the mounting nut and mounting bolt, then remove the alternator drive belt.
5. Remove the top bracket
Note:
- Before removing the top bracket, use a jack to support the engine.
- Be sure to place a shim between the oil pan and the jack.
6. Remove the lower bracket of the power steering pump.
7. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
8. Remove the cylinder head cover.
9. Remove the middle cover and bottom cover.
10. Loosen the adjusting bolt 180°. Press down on the tensioner to release the tension on the timing belt, then tighten the adjusting bolt.
11. Remove the timing belt.
