Spark plugs — control and replacement

1. Candles are replaced using a special head with a rubber washer that prevents damage to the insulator.

2. Before installing a new spark plug, adjust the spark gap between the side and center electrodes. The clearance is indicated on the label under the hood. When adjusting the gap, bend only the side electrode.

3. Work with candles one by one, so as not to mix up the order of ignition.

4. Before dismantling, clean the fit near the candle from dirt.

5. To facilitate the installation of a candle in its nest, put a tube about 10 cm long and an inner diameter of 5-6 mm on the candle insulator.

6. Tighten the spark plugs to the recommended torque.
