1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands.
2. Place a jack under the bridge beam and raise it until the jack bears the entire weight of the beam.
3. Remove the decorative panels inside the passenger compartment to provide access to the shock absorber mounting nuts.
4. Remove the protective cap and, holding the shock absorber rod with a hexagon, unscrew the fastening nuts.
5. Dismantle the bottom fastening and remove the shock-absorber.
6. Check shock absorber. Slowly insert the shock absorber rod into the body: it should enter without jerking or extraneous noise. Pull out and push in the shock absorber (stroke 5-10 cm) - there must be sufficient resistance to movement. Finally, check for leaks and stem wear.
7. Installation is made in the return to removal order. Tighten threaded connections to specification.
