Balance shaft belt and tensioner (4-cylinder Odyssey): 1. Front balancer shaft drive sprocket; 2. Drive sprocket of the rear balancer shaft; 3. Drive sprocket balancer shaft; 4. Align the groove on the front pulley with the pointer on the oil pump housing
1. Remove the engine.
2. Remove the cylinder head.
3. Remove the camshaft belt top cover.
4. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to the TDC of the compression stroke, aligning the marks on the crankshaft pulley.
5. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
6. Remove the oil gauge pipe.
7. Remove the side support of the engine.
8. Remove the camshaft belt top cover.
9. If only the balancer shaft belt will be removed, then the tension of the camshaft belt should be maintained by screwing the 6.0x1.0x25 bolt into the tensioner plate.
10. Loosen the balance shaft belt tensioner adjusting nut 2/3-1 turn, retract the tensioner and tighten the nut.
11. Remove the balance shaft belt.
12. Turn away bolts and remove the case of gear wheels.
13. The rear shaft is located on the side of the wall of the engine compartment (in original engine position), front - from the side of the radiator.
14. Turn away a bolt and remove an asterisk of a back balancing shaft. To fix the shaft, unscrew the bolt at the rear of the cylinder block and insert a 6.0x100 mm stud into the hole to a depth of 74 mm, making an appropriate mark on the stud.
15. Remove the front balance shaft sprocket (shaft from the side of the radiator). To do this, fix the shaft by inserting a stud or screwdriver into the hole behind the sprocket and unscrew the nut.
16. Remove the outer balance shaft bearing cover.
17. Remove the pallet.
18. Remove the oil pump.
19. Turn away bolts and remove a persistent plate, get balancing shafts.
20. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
