Warning! The bulbs of halogen lamps are filled with pressurized gas and may explode if shaken violently. Try to take such lamps only by the base and use safety glasses. Remember that when touching the bulb with bare fingers, grease stains remain on the glass, which leads to premature failure of the lamp as a result of overheating. Before installation, wipe the lamp bulb with alcohol.
1. Open the hood.
2. To release the latch, squeeze the connector housing behind the lamp.
3. Rotate the bulb holder assembly counterclockwise (looking at the rear headlight).
Note. If necessary, first remove the expansion tank of the engine cooling system (when replacing the right headlight bulb on 4-cylinder models and the left headlight bulb on V6 models).
4. Remove the bulb holder from the headlight housing.
5. Pulling towards you, remove the lamp from the socket.
6. If it is necessary to replace the cartridge, disconnect the electrical wiring from it.
7. Trying not to touch the bulb with bare fingers, put a new lamp in the cartridge, then fill the assembly into the headlight, for which make sure that the tabs of the retainer are aligned with the grooves in the headlight housing. After inserting the assembly into the mounting hole, turn it clockwise to lock it until it stops.
8. Connect the electrical wiring and check the correct functioning of the block headlight.
