1. Remove the lining of the parking brake control lever (see chapter Body).
2. Remove the center console (see chapter Body).
3. Chock the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands. Engage the parking brake lever one click.
4. While manually rotating the rear wheels of the vehicle, clockwise tighten the adjusting nut on the parking brake cable equalizer assembly. Stop tightening the nut as soon as the wheels start "cling".
5. Release the parking brake lever and check that the rear wheels turn freely. When the drive is properly adjusted, the travel of the parking brake control lever must correspond to the value specified in the Specifications for the Chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance this guide.
6. Lower the vehicle to the ground, then reinstall the center console (see chapter Body).
