Dismantling the input shaft — Accord 1984-89, Prelude 1984-87

1. Remove the following parts of the synchronizer in turn: coupling, hub, spring ring, blocking ring.

2. Remove the 5th gear.

3. Remove the needle bearing, cuff gasket and needle bearing of the input shaft.

4. Remove cuff gasket and needle bearing.

5. Remove the 4th gear.

6. Remove the following parts of the synchronizer in turn: blocking ring, spring ring, coupling, hub, spring ring, blocking ring.

7. Remove the 3rd gear and needle bearing.
