Fast idle — Accord 1986-89

1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

2. Turn off the engine and connect the tachometer.

3. Disconnect and plug the fast idle ejector internal vacuum hose.



4. Operate the fast idle cam by fully opening and closing the throttle while keeping the throttle blade closed.

5. Start the engine. The fast idle speed should be 2000-3000 rpm.

6. If necessary, adjust the speed with the adjusting screw.
