2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Remove the rear brake caliper.
4. Remove the center hub cap.
5. Remove cotter pin, holder and spindle nut.
6. Remove the brake disc. Remove the outer bearing and protect it from dirt, solvents, etc.
For installation:
7. Install the disk on the spindle. Install the outer bearing.
8. Coat the spindle nut and spindle threads lightly with grease or oil. Install washer and spindle nut.
9. Tighten the nut to 25 Nm and turn the brake disc 2-3 turns. Retighten the nut to specification.
10. Repeat Step 9 until the nut is seated properly after turning the disc a few turns.
11. Loosen the nut until it is loose but does not rotate freely or come off the washer.
12. Tighten the spindle nut to 5.5 Nm.
13. Install the cotter pin holder so that the slots line up with the hole in the spindle. If this requires turning the nut, tighten it just enough to achieve alignment.
14. Install a new cotter pin.
