2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Remove the 2 caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper from the bracket.
4. Remove the pads, gaskets and pad retainers.
For installation:
5. Completely clean the caliper; remove all dirt and dust. Check the brake rotor for gouges or cracks and treat or replace if necessary.
6. Install the shoe retainers. Lubricate the back of the brake pad and both surfaces of the gaskets. Do not allow grease to come into contact with the braking surface of the pad.
7. Install pads and gaskets.
8. Use a suitable tool to turn the caliper piston clockwise in the caliper bore just enough to fit exactly over the brake pads. Lubricate the piston boot with silicone grease to prevent twisting of the piston boot.
9. Install the brake caliper, aligning the notch in the piston with the protrusion on the inner pad. Tighten the mounting bolts.
10. Install the wheel. Lower the car.
11. Check the fluid level in the master cylinder and add if required. Depress the brake pedal a few times to break in the pads.
